Another Reason to Feel Superior to Apple: Skype Video Calling

I received a new 32GB iPod Touch with the front facing camera, and of course the 1st thing I wanted to do above all is video chatting with family. Since only 1 member of my extended fam has an iphone (an 18yo 2nd cousin via a great uncle) I decided to try out Skype instead. My brother bought himself an HTC Evo 4G for Christmas, so I was all about to give it a try, but again...no dice. Skype Mobile for Android has the ability to do video chatting via the Fring app, but the iPhone and iPod touch is left in the dark. If you have the Evo, a Galaxy S class, or one of the HTC HD's, pat yourself on the back. You just won more points over Apple and never knew it!

Now, to be fair, there is a rumor circulating that Skype Mobile will have this feature available soon via a mistaken link in the bottom of emails floating in the tech world ("How do I make video calls with Skypefor iPhone?"), but I combed the support site up and down and haven't found a word about this ability, so you iPod Touch owners will just have to wait.

It should also be noted that Google Talk also doesn't have video chatting available on mobile phones yet but any user with a google acct can use video chatting via Google Talk on your PC or through Gmail. I use it all the time and find it to be the best idea. Ever.
